Are you bonded and insured?

Four Seasons Pet Care is fully bonded and insured for liability thru Farmers Insurance.


How long have you been in business?

We have been locally owned and family operated since March of 1993. We are one of the oldest and longest serving pet care providers in the Twin Cities.


Do you provide references?

We most certainly do. We want you to feel confortable with our company so we have clients who have graciously allowed us to give you their names and numbers so you can talk to them about their experience with Four Seasons Pet Care.


What areas do you cover for service?

We provide service to all areas of the Twin Cites metro. Some fees may be higher depending on the distance. Cities including:

St. Paul (including Downtown)

Eagan

Apple Vallley

Burnsville

Lakeville

Inver Grove Heights

Woodbury

Mendota Heights

Highland Park

South Minneapolis

West Bloomington

Edina

Call if you do not see your city.

 


Do I get the same sitter each time I make a reservation?

Yes. We always assign the same sitter for your pet care.  This helps to develop a bond and trust not only with our clients but with the pets.


Why are your prices higher than a kennel?

We pride ourselves on our personal attention and care of your pets. We take considerable time and a thoroughness to ensure your pets are nutured and pampered. This is a one-on-one care program. We have to take into consideration our driving and time at your house. We do not charge extra for walks or the everyday comforts you provide your pets on a regular basis.


Do you charge extra for the holidays?

Yes. We do have a holiday surcharge for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day and Easter. We are happy to provide service while you are traveling during these major holidays and provide you peace of mind knowing your pets are in good hands.  We also must compensate our sitters extra for working on the holidays.


Do you care for geriartic pets? Is there an extra fee?

Yes. We specialize in senior pets.

We will take the extra time to make sure your pet gets up and down stairs, is able to get outside and has no problem in the house moving around.


Do you administer medications? Is there an extra charge?

Yes. We can administer shots and give pills. We DO NOT do IV's.

Yes, there is an extra fee relating to the extra time and care involved.


What other services do you provide?

The care of your animal is our primary focus. However, we do "added value" services as well such as:

-collect mail

-water plants inside and outside.  We will charge extra for outside watering if is beyond our basic service.

-alternate lights

-open and close blinds

-trash

-bird feeeders


What is your refund policy?

We understand things happen and plans change. We gladly try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible.

Midday dog walking clients if you call by the close of business the previous day there is no charge.

For cat sitting and dog walking clients we will gladly reschedule your trip. If this does not work cancel within 24 - 48 hours from the time the sitting begins and you will not be charged.

We do not give refunds if you have to arrive home early from your trip.


I am nervous about someone coming in my house. How do you pick your sitters?

First, we are bonded and insured as well as the sitters.

Second, all of our sitters are carefully screened. We check references as well as do background and credit checks.

Third, all of our sitters are recommended to our company and have experience in this field.


Why do you charge holiday fees?

We love taking care of your pets. But it means our sitters have to break up their holidays. This is compensation so our clients can relax knowing even on the holiday their pets are well taken care of from our sitters who we feel also deserve a little extra.


What if I have a question about something when I get home related to the pet care?

Contact our main number first - 651-558-6115 - so we are aware of the situation and can be kept in the loop with our sitter. Then you should call your sitter directly.


What if I only want a visit every two or three days?

We recommend a visit each day for cats and at least two visits per day for dogs.

We would not be able to guarantee the high quality of care we provide only visiting limited times.
